The Elettra Laboratory of Sincrotrone Trieste S.C.p.A. has more than 20 beamlines using synchrotron light for research activities, each equipped with multiple instruments and characterisation techniques, with leading edge analytical measurement skills. All Elettra facilities together with 20 additional analysis laboratories, are available for industry R&D activities. The tools and technologies, ranging from X-ray optics, biology, surface physics, nanotechnology, lithography, microscopy to electronic devices and software development, allow the analysis of materials and their behavior at the atomic level.
Sincrotrone Trieste, over the years, has acquired great experience in scientific computing, Grid computing, Cloud Computing, e-Science and the so called e-Infrastructure.
The experience and the available e-Infrastructure are now part of the technological offering of Sincrotrone Trieste SCpA.
